Our hotel bar feels much more like a colourful living room than a hotel lounge. Think 1970s designer furniture, board games and probably the best Whisky Sour you'll have all holiday. Then summer arrives. We slide open the doors. And the living room simply continues outside.
There are countless favourite spots across the garden terrace.
People gather for aperitivo, order spontaneous bowls of pasta, stretch out beneath the shade sails, sip cocktails, disappear into a good book or enjoy the kind of conversations that stay with you long afterwards. Some guests say it feels a little like being by the sea.
Breakfast outside. Dinner outside. As long as the sun feels like staying. Luckily, it usually does.
Then our summer traditions begin.
Tuesday belongs to art. A young South Tyrolean artist, an open-air vernissage, aperitivo and Patrick's cooking create one of those evenings nobody wants to end.
Sunday is BBQ night. Our chefs light the fire. You sit back. We'll take care of the rest.
And then there's Thursday. The music starts. Everyone dances. From mid-May until mid-September our terrace becomes what might just be South Tyrol's coolest open-air dance floor. Close your eyes. Dance. Laugh. Stay a little longer.
There's something quietly magical about summer at Muchele. And one thing happens almost every time: people stay longer than they planned.
